The Residence Orchestra from The Hague, with chef-conductor Jaap van Zweden, wanted to make a tour in the UK in 2003, with 10 concerts.

I did a feasibility study as to the financial consequences, and mapped possible sponsors. I looked at anticipated ticket sales, CD’s, catering, “meet and greets”, programme, bannering, POS material, accommodation and transport. I took into account the projected contributions from the Dutch sponsors, the local theaters and art sponsors in the British market.

Also, I researched possible subsidies by Dutch and British organizations and companies.

Finally, a benchmarking was done, looking at the relationship between British orchestras and musical companies and their donors.

Testimonial

In 2001, Alfred made an analysis for the Residentie Orkest The Hague regarding the possibilities to obtain extra financial support from local sponsoring for their concert tour through Great Britain. The result was negative, unfortunately, the tour slightly trimmed, but the analysis made by Alfred was well done, well researched and helped the orchestra to plan this tour.
